Musical compositions using the Soundcities database by Stanza 2003, re-released for Nostalgie de la Boue in 2023 to celebrate 20 years on the project.
Stanza reworked all the found sounds into a series of finished musical compositions from each world city that forms the basis of a "world tour'.
Soundcities was the first online open source database of global city sounds and soundmaps, using found sounds and field recording.
There are now thousands of sounds from around the world on the website.
This project allows the audience the possibility to remix the thousands of sampled recordings in an online database.
The soundcities database is also open so anyone can upload sounds they collect from world cities, thereby making a valuable and collaborative contribution to the project and helping to make this online sound archive.

Stanza's digital artworks are experienced as fused mashed-up data cities and real-time performative city experiences, all re-presented online as systems of control and systems that demonstrate how these systems control.
What becomes real are the art installations, sculptures, and paintings Stanza exhibits.
Once a member of Bourbonese Qualk, Stanza has released numerous albums with them and as The State.
