----------

" Aither was our second Lp, released in 1989, after Myscitismes in 1985. It followed a batch of cassette only releases and was released on a well-known french independant record label, Visa.

It has always been my aim to produce a music that does entertain but that may also lead you to experience something more, call it ethereal, mind elevating, far from the ego...
To make a non egotistic form of art, you should favor spontaneity and not overuse, as we often do in our current daylife, the intellect. Let's make the artist transparent.
I can easily hear VP!'s music from the outside, as if I had not taken part in its creation. This feeling of the subjective absence of the artist is typical of the music I love to hear. Our community kind of way for making music, with many musical friends visiting us at our studio and our leaning for improvising, even at the mixing stage, favored this tendancy. The fact that, at the time of Aither's release, 3/4 of the band (all except FR6 Man) had been living together for a while and that we were all autodidacts had also something to do with this directness towards music making.

Many thanks to all the artists featured, to Visa, and to Tristan Koreya. Without them...

Your comments are welcomed and cherished. "
