Circles are everywhere. Warding and summoning circles may be the best-known graphical representations of the occult. Many cultures use the circle as a powerful symbol, like for example the Japanese Ensō or the Ouroboros. The album 'De Circulos' is addressing multiple aspects of the circle, from ritualistic ones till the cycles of nature, using sounds and concepts of many cultures to represent the variety of meanings and roles. Even today, the circle is used for numerous metaphors. It stands for repetitive processes, but also for the conclusion of things. The special thing about the circle is that it knows no beginning and no end. One could also see it as the smallest conceivable labyrinth. Everywhere are circles.

Rather than describe what this sounds like (a futile task), I will describe how it makes me feel. First it is much like white noise, blocking the world around me. It's just me and whatever I happen to be giving my attention to with no distractions or external worries. Then it is energizing and uplifting. I have more focus and energy. These soundscapes get me in the zone to help me concentrate on whatever I'm doing, whether it be washing dishes or scrolling Facebook. And it sounds damn cool too. dharmalogos
