" My interest in music from around the world and particularly sacred/ceremonial sounds has been a focus for most all of my work from the beginning in the late 70’s and continues through today. During the 1990’s the Life Garden project was specifically oriented towards an experimental ceremonial/folk music from a parallel universe using a wide variety of ‘folk’ instruments that were digitally effected into something (hopefully) unique. The intended result not being an imitation of indigenous music but a kind of feeling that lent itself towards the impression of having come from that space.

This current release is an evolution of the above and part of a series based on the concept of having a kind of sound (and vision) ‘portal’ that can focus on parallel/alternative Earths and the sounds/visions can be recorded for our ears here in this world to experience. So there are some sounds that are familiar and some music that is familiar but performed very different from what is common.

Overall this is intended to be like a weird multi-universe shortwave radio or ‘Folkways’ documentary style recording. "
