about

AGOG was the main solo moniker of Northridge, California's Damian Bisciglia (1960-2012). His beginnings as a home-recording sound artist came with LAFMS-adjacent quartet Points Of Friction in the early 80's, and already concurrently a deep body of humble solo recordings was building. A very active contributor to the 80's & 90's international tape trading community, his Spagyric label helped connect like-minded experimental musicians around the globe. Damian's complex physical art sculptures (made with repurposed random miscellany like doll parts, natural debris, mud-as-paint & rusted metal) were sometimes the housing of his limited edition cassette releases. Such was the case with 1990's "HEBDOMOS". If one is not yet familiar with Agog's output I think this is a perfect place to start as it encapsulates a wide variety of Damian's sonic wizardry into one peculiar adventure.
