" In 1989 a cassette of raw-material was sent to 50 artists, with the request to process this original recordings in any way they want and to return their results. The recordings on that tape consisted of sounds ringmodulating other sounds. Such as a wooden door ringmodulating a propeller airplane ... a burning match ringmodulating a barking dog ... an umbrella ringmodulating a sewing machine ... etc.

In 1990 the returned results was sliced and decomposed into a number of segments with the works of 2 or 3 artists each, the segments then combined and assembled for LP-production.

In 2012 the exhibition "Grösser als Zürich" took place in Zürich, Switzerland, dedicated to artists who were living and working in the 4th district of the city during the 80's (the 4th district known to be the rather "creative" and/or "criminal" part of town). The curators, Michael Hiltbrunners, wish to display this LP-productions sleeve artwork - out of his own collection - was combined with a listening terminal, for which the original vinyl was edited to this 17minutes version - "Stuhlgangblockaden" - presented here.
